Job Profile
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QHSE & Training Manager to lead, develop, and manage the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, Environment (QHSE) and Training programs across all operations in the UAE. This role will ensure that all activities comply with national and international regulations, oversee training initiatives, and foster a safe, efficient, and high-performance working environment that aligns with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality, Health, Safety, Environment
QHSE Management:
- Develop and implement QHSE policies and procedures ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international standards.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to maintain QHSE standards.
- Analyze safety reports to identify and mitigate risks. Lead accident investigations and corrective actions.
- Oversee full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate with local authorities and regulatory bodies on QHSE matters.
- Manage QHSE certification processes and personnel compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and employee performance. Track and monitor QHSE and training outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment of QHSE programs with company objectives.
- Monitor and assess QHSE program effectiveness, reporting safety incidents, accidents, and environmental impacts.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare regular QHSE performance and training reports for senior management.
- Ensure accurate documentation of training, certifications, and audits.
- Evaluate QHSE performance of suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills for potential incidents.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and develop a team of QHSE and training professionals.
- Align QHSE and training initiatives with operational goals.
- Serve as the main point of contact for QHSE-related issues.
Compliance Management:
- Ensure adherence to relevant health, safety, quality, and environmental laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in laws or standards.
Training & Development:
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs on safety, quality, and environmental practices.
- Conduct training needs assessments and recommend targeted interventions.
- Track and improve training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Maintain accurate records of employee training, certifications, and qualifications.
- Lead workshops, seminars, and training sessions on various QHSE topics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a QHSE role, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position
- Experience within infrastructure construction job sites, manufacturing, oil & gas or a similar industry.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering QHSE training programs.
- Strong understanding of UAE’s health, safety, and environmental regulations and international QHSE standards.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of QHSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency in QHSE management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
